After closing, Oblivion Taproom to reopen
For those of you who were saddened by the news of Oblivion Taproom closing: Cheer up! It appears Oblivion Taproom will not be closing its doors for the final time, after all.
With a happy announcement from their Facebook page including an opener of “like a phoenix from the ashes,” Oblivion Taproom notified its Facebook followers that a “long-time patron and his family have purchased the restaurant.”
According to the Facebook post, the new owners will need some time to restock and prepare for a reopening and the introduction of a new menu. Not to worry, the chef, Anderson Larkin reassured dubious Facebook users in the comment thread that the old favorites will remain in the menu.
"We're not changing the food too much. A lot of favorites are sticking around," Larkin wrote in a Facebook comment. "Smoked wings, hog wild, the Godzilla and most of the vegi options are going to still be on the menu. I have a bunch of new items that I'm really excited for you to try. I hope you come back in and make this your favorite place for kick-ass food and beer.”
Oblivion Taproom is located at 5101 E. Colonial Drive.
