Military and Public Safety Tribute

Where: Waterford Lakes Town Center; 413 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando

The Buzz: The fourth annual 9/11 tribute event will be hosted at the Waterford Lakes Town Center. Come out out and enjoy games, prizes and live music.

Night of Joy

Where: Disney’s Magic Kingdom; 1180 Seven Seas Drive, Lake Buena Vista

Cost: Ticket prices start at $65 per person for one night and $115 per person for two nights.

The Buzz: Disney will host a weekend full of concerts and events, including some of the most popular Christian artists and bands.

Rock N’ Run 5K

The Buzz: A high-energy 5K featuring rock ‘n’ roll music will be held at the second race of the Track Shack Running series.

APAC’s 10th Annual Assembly: The Force Awakens

Where: Pegasus Ballroom

Cost: Free

The Buzz: UCF’s Asian Pacific American Coalition is encouraging students to join the officers in making a difference in the Asian community. There will be free food and entertainment, as well as a meet and greet with special guest performer David Choi.

Maker Faire Orlando 2015

The Buzz: Monthly gathering of food trucks from all over Central Florida fill the south parking lot of the Orlando Fashion Square Mall.

Orlando City vs. Sporting Kansas City

Hidden Artists of UCF

Where: John C. Hitt Library

The Buzz: Artwork will be exhibited in the library on the Art Wall with glass case displays with a variety of styles, subjects and mediums, including photography, watercolor, jewelry and more.

Tea & Conversation

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Writer’s Block Bookstore; 124 E. Welbourne Ave., Winter Park

The Buzz: Join this monthly gathering of book lovers to discuss recently read or favorite books over tea.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Where: Disney’s Magic Kingdom; 1180 Seven Seas Drive, Lake Buena Vista

Cost: Ages 3 to 9: $63; Ages 10 and up: $68

The Buzz: All ages can enjoy Halloween festivities in Magic Kingdom as the theme park is transformed into a not-so-scary, happy, haunted hallow.

UCF Grad Fair 2015

Knight-Thon Goal and Theme Reveal

The Buzz: Last year, more than 2,000 students helped raise a record-breaking $688,049.19 for the Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Open Knight Climb at The Challenge Course

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Recreation and Wellness Center

Cost: Free

The Buzz: The first 120 students to show up to the RWC will get to attempt a ropes course at The Challenge Course near Central Florida Boulevard.

Open Mic Knight

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Burger U at Knight’s Plaza

Cost: Free

The Buzz: The Campus Activities Board starts off its stand-up competition to find the funniest Knight on campus. Anyone can sign up to perform, or simply sit in on the show.
